About Me

Sydney, Australia
I am a stay at home mum to 2 princesses, wife to a gorgeous Irishman and proud owner of an adorable long haired German Shepherd. I would craft and read the days away if the responsibilities of life did not get in the way! In the mean time I take time, as time allows, to indulge in the things I love!

Getting back on track in 2014

I fell off my own wagon over the past couple of years, and made every excuse under the sun why I shouldn't get back on. But enough is enough. It is time for me for get my act together again.

2014 is the year of me.

Recreating habits that I have dropped and getting back on track.

Setting goals and achieving them.

This page kept coming up in my FB feed so after reading the Leonie Dawson website I decided to invest in the Life Edition Workbook and Planner

Such a great way to help me get back on track.

Watching "We're the Millers" and the tennis tonight I did some colouring of a few pages I have already completed.

I love that Leonie prompts you to reflect on the year that was 2013 - differents aspects and in depth. This has helped me reach "closure" on some parts that I wasn't entirely happy with! And pat myself on the back for the things that I did achieve! I am able to move into 2014 with a fresh start and a clear and focussed mind.

Ready for 2014? Indeed I am, bring it on!

2014 Goals

I have seen this list floating around various social media sites in the past week or so, and when I sat down to think about my 2014 goals it kept coming back to my mind, especially the simplicity of it.

It sums up how I would like my 2014 to be!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May it be your best year yet!

Kicking Butt in 2011

I have a number of personal goals for 2011 that I won't share here but briefly they cover the financial side of our life, my attitude to certain things, some family stuff and sticking to routine!

On the creative side of things;

*Finish Handquilting Jack's quilt
*Mai and Mick's 40th Wedding anniversary Quilt
*Keep slogging away on Dear Jane and Pies + Tarts
*A basic quilt for Abby
*Learn to Crochet
*Get more involved in the world of blogging!

And on the Health and Fitness side;

*Start running again, starting out with C25K and working up to 5210K and beyond!
*Go back to consistently following FYM - I KNOW it works!!! So in saying this I must give the FYM New Year Transformation Challenge my absolute all to get the most possible out of it. It starts on 10th January and runs for 12 weeks.
*Limit wheat - my system hates it!
*Aim to eat cleanly 90% of the time! Organic produce and keeping it simple!
*Eliminate the few chai lattes and coffees that I do have and go herbal all the way!
*Go back to Yoga - even if it is only one class a week - it is good for my mind as well as my body
*Goal weight is 60kgs

Moving onto the House Renovation;

*Every time I go to spend money, think of the house and all the new things I would like to put in it!! Remember I can only wear one pair of shoes at a time, I have a cupboard full and do not need any more in 2011 (unless they are for exercise!!)
*As we are living in the house throughout the reno, on tough days, I must not lose sight of the bigger picture!!!!

I think my goals for 2011 are very achievable and as the great Yoda once said "Do or do not. There is no 'try'!!!
